Iris LGBT Short Film Festival

Project through the University of South Wales to put together lighting and production for the Iris LGBT Short Film Festival. I was pleased to be working on the opening night, working as part of a team to design and implement the rig followed by looking after the programming using my titan dongle and operating on the night.

Soul Survivor Main Stage

Soul Survivor Main Stage

Soul Survivor is a year christian festival for 30,000 attendees over 5 weeks. During 1 of these weeks I was asked to volunteer to do main stage camera. This year I worked on stage, providing close up shots of musicians and crowd shots from stage. Camera was handheld using shoulder mount and working for around 2 hours on morning and evening sessions.

Soul Survivor 2015 – Main Stage Cameras

Soul Survivor 2015 – Main Stage Cameras

This year I was asked to do main stage cameras for week B of Soul Survivor. Soul Survivor is a christian festival for youth aged 13 – 18. The festival is over 3 weeks, 2 of which are in the Bath Showgrounds near Shepton Mallet. The event has a main Big Top which only around 8,000 people with a large stage, full lighting rig, 3 broadcast cameras and four large screens.

Meetings would consist of live worship and talks. My role during the worship was to find artistic shots, these were commonly close ups on instruments or out of focus lights. Shots were also developed as required. Talks required close tracking of head shots which required close concentration and focus.

Heres a 20second preview of the film showing to screens.
